I would like to inform you that the tender procedure for consultant services in the framework of the Technical Assistance Facility for Danube Region Projects is now published in the Official Journal of the City of Vienna: http://www.gemeinderecht.wien.at/vergabeportal/detailansicht.asp?atxtnr=18823#Ausschreibungsunterlagen_herunterladen. The publication has also been notified to the EU Official Journal. Feel free to share this link to potentially interested bidders. Beware that the deadline for submission of requests for participation is 29th July 2013, 11AM.

The V Steering Group (StGr) meeting within PA 11 was held in Berlin on 6 June 2013.

The StGr members reviewed the state of play of the ongoing projects and the advance within PA 11. The possibilities for future cooperation with PA 1a and with the Custom agencies were also discussed. The PACs informed the participants about the opportunities provided by the Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) for consultancy services to PA 11 projects.

Commenting on the findings of the Report, Commissioner Johannes Hahn, said: “The EU Strategy for the Danube Region is proof that Member States achieve more when they work together. Now we need to step up a gear. I want to see the priorities of the Danube Strategy in our next generation of Regional funds programming and firmly embedded in the national, regional and local priorities in every one of the 14 countries involved. The Strategy should be informing every relevant policy area with politically stable, adequately financed structures to support it."
