Final Conference of the project
The final conference of the project “Rule of Law – Implementing a Comprehensive and Integrated Approach in Prevention and Fight against Corruption in the Danube Region” is taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria between 4 and 5 November 2013.

PA 11 participated in the 2nd EUSDR Annual Forum
The 2nd Annual Forum took place on 28-29 October 2013 at Bucharest, Romania. The event was hosted by EU Commissioner for Regional Policy, Johannes Hahn and Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta. The participants had opportunities to discuss how to strengthen the impact of the EU's Danube Strategy to tackle some of the region's most pressing challenges like energy security and pollution, crime, missing transport links to lack of competitiveness and the brain drain.

The 6th Steering Group meeting of PA 11 of the Danube Strategy will be held on 25- 26 November 2013 in Budapest and will be kindly hosted by the Ministry of Interior of Hungary.

The second Annual Report of Priority Area 11 "Security" of the EUSDR was submitted to the European Commission at the end of June 2013. It covers the period between June 2012 and June 2013 and includes all the relevant activities of the Priority Area.

New Priority Area Coordinators

Mr. Plamen Angelov – Deputy Minister of Interior is the new PAC of Bulgaria for the PA 11. Mr. Angelov replaces General Commissiomer Mr.Kalin Georgiev, who resigned his job in the Ministry in June 2013.

Kick-off Conference “Setting up the Structure of a Danube River Forum”
Within the framework of the “Setting up the structure of a Danube River Forum” project we will organize a kick-off conference. The target group comprises high-level representatives of the Ministry of Interior (Minister of State) and heads of Border Police (who is responsible for control of the River Danube).
